When to appoint

It is recommended to appoint the consultation with the expert, in the presence of symptoms indicative of dermatopitosis, such as:

  • Redness, itching or peeling of the skin;
  • Red, red or white spots or plates on the skin;
  • Hair loss or with broken strands;
  • Nail detachment;
  • Yellowish nail, gray or whitish;
  • Yellow crusts or dandruff on the scalp.

During the diagnosis, the doctor evaluates the symptoms, the person’s health history and performs a physical examination, observing the characteristics of skin and/or nail lesions.

The doctor can also examine the Wood lamp and scrape the skin or nail injury to identify the type of fungus and thus recommend the proper treatment.
