Youth is not only a state of body, but also a state of mind. But even the youngest souls develop age -related diseases. Can they prevent them and cure mature patients? Aif.ru told about this Head of the therapeutic department No. 2 of the NMIC of the LRC of the Ministry of Health of Russia, associate professor of the Department of Therapy and Gerontology of the FMBA of Russia, Doctor of Medical Sciences Ekaterina Hammad.
– The concept of advanced age is gradually leaving – today the attitude of doctors to elderly patients has changed significantly. If earlier people over 70 or 80 years old did not prescribe certain drugs or procedures, today most age -related restrictions have been removed. Mature people themselves have changed – they have become more active, sports and cheerful.
For example, among people over 60, there are many runners, and age problems today are solved using modern technical devices that allow older people to feel more confident. For example, I had a patient with a decrease in hearing. He held a serious post and did not want subordinates and colleagues to learn about his problem. He carried out auditory prosthetics – installing a special device inconspicuous for others. Also, endoprosthetics, installation of pacemakers that allow mature people to lead a familiar lifestyle are possible now.
One of the new directions in the treatment of aging is the use of drugs that have haymaking and help the body get rid of aged cells.
Clik here to view.

A decrepit cell cannot share, does not perform its functions poorly, and the most unpleasant thing is that it emits signal substances that contribute to the fact that the surrounding cells also became decrepit. To date, the elimination of sensitive cells is considered the best approach to blocking this aging mechanism. To remove such cells, special preparations were developed, called “haymaking” (senile – decrepit and Lytic – destructive). Their distinctive feature is the ability to selectively initiate the death of aged cells.
At the same time, age -related diseases have not disappeared, but the approach to their rehabilitation has changed. The complex and command approach of specialists helps our patients after strokes, heart attacks, injuries of the lower extremities to quickly return to social life. The age of 90 years and above is no longer a restriction for any surgical interventions. We do not have age frames for conducting events such as, for example, chemotherapy. If a person is shown treatment, it will be carried out at any age.
