Moreover, these are the same cells that contribute to the appearance of a feeling of saturation when a person has eaten. It turns out that they are the culprits of attraction to sweets. But only to him. When this opioid path of activation of appetite in the brain of mice was blocked, they remained indifferent to sugar. Scientists believe that if such a method can be used in relation to a person, then you can help people not overeat or gain excess weight. However, the data obtained require further research and evidence.

The CHPP-1 is based on obesity medicines. There are other well-known hormones that regulate appetite: ghrelin, leptin, l-tyrosin, etc. In addition, neurons are found in regulatory hunger and saturation of brain structures that can even emit various substances that stimulate us to consume sweet products “.

And when a person ate sweet food, endorphins stand out – endogenous, that is, internal, opiates. They reduce pain, reduce the level of depression, discomfort, improve mood. That is why getting rid of a habit is sweet after eating is so difficult.

Why do you want a dessert?

To fight the consequences, we must first understand, why do we want sweets after eating? The doctor calls four main reasons.

The desire to eat sweet or fat can arise if the body lacks certain nutrients, including various minerals, such as iron, magnesium, zinc. “The body is not able to understand what kind of element it lacks, there are no receptors that would clearly signal: it is necessary to replenish the level of selenium. Therefore, there is a desire to just eat something unusual, ”says a dietitian.

Also, various emotional states can stimulate appetite. Some people are trying to fight stress, jamming it sweet. Others have a desire to eat delicious to celebrate some joyful event.

Insufficient sleep can also increase appetite. If a person has not slept, he feels the desire to eat with something sweet.

Finally, the desire to eat sweet after eating in some people can be just a habit. Oleic acid stops hunger. This is omega-9 polyunsaturated fatty acid, most of it in olive oil. Therefore, it is worthwhile to include olive oil in the diet, but still in moderate quantities.

Do not forget about spices. On the one hand, they stimulate appetite, on the other hand, as a rule, contribute to a reduction in the general calorie content of the diet, as they reduce the attraction to fatty and sweet foods.

Use more products with fiber. It can be whole grains and bread, green salads such as spinach with flaxseed, in principle, any vegetables and fruits, berries. Fiber is food for our good bacteria in the intestines, which are producing, including serotonin, and hormones of pleasure. In addition, plant fibers from cereals create a feeling of satiety, satisfaction from food without loading with excess calories.

Liquid food also contributes to a feeling of satiety and will prevent overeating.
